Incontro con la ricercatrice e ex alunna del RG Larissa De Clauser

Lo scorso martedì, 12.10.2021, la dottoressa Larissa De Clauser, ex alunna del nostro Realgymnasium, è venuta nella nostra classe, la 4A RG, per un incontro, organizzato dal professor Gianluigi Di Gennaro. Lei è una Biologa molecolare e ricercatrice dell’EURAC in neuroscienze ed esperta di terapia del dolore. L'incontro, che è durato 100 minuti, era diviso in due parti: nella prima parte ci ha presentato il suo lavoro con una presentazione Powerpoint in lingua inglese e nella seconda parte abbiamo avuto la possibilità di porle le domande che avevamo scritto precedentemente in lingua italiana.
In the presentation she prepared for us, she educated us on the different fields of her study course, how long she had to study to come this far and what kinds of degrees there are for this kind of career. She explained in detail what her work was all about and enriched us with some medical terms- some of which were new to us and some we already knew- and if there was a term that we weren’t familiar with, she would explain it flawlessly. Furthermore, she played a little game with us to demonstrate how a sodium channel worked, and I personally found this a fantastic method to illustrate some terms that are normally harder to understand.

In der zweiten Hälfte durften wir, wie schon erwähnt, der Frau Doktor De Clauser unsere zuvor geschriebenen Fragen stellen. Sie hat diese mit Freude und Ehrlichkeit beantwortet und es war sehr interessant zu sehen, aus welchen anderen Perspektiven man diese Karriere sehen kann. Wie sie erwähnte, gibt es zwar viel Kompetition und Stress in dieser Laufbahn, doch sie selbst kann gut damit leben und ist zufrieden, diesen Weg gefunden zu haben, da diese Arbeit auch viel Spannung in ihr Leben bringt.
